Reviewer Comments: New York Times Bestselling Author Vicki Lewis Thompson takes a chance with the paranormal genre in her new book Over Hexed. Thompson brings a supernatural twist to her own nerd theme in this new fun filled paranormal. With great local color and a setting that brings those pesky neighbors to the forefront, readers will enjoy this delightful comedy and its wacky cast of characters.

Witches Dorcas and Ambrose Lowell have been banished to the middle of nowhere Big Knob, Indiana. What do witches with nothing to lose do? They bring their own brand of matchmaking and set it loose on the town. Their first victim is the too hot town carpenter, Sean Madigan. Sean’s problem is that woman just won’ leave him alone. Everywhere he goes women thrown themselves at his feet. When he was young that was fine but now that he’s older, he just wants to be a regular guy.

Dorcas and Ambrose do a spell to find the perfect match for Sean. All they need to do is cast a spell to make Sean a nerd and entice Maggie Grady to come to Big Knob. Maggie Grady is employed by SaveALot, a big discount store. It is her job to find locations to build new stores. And for some reason Big Knob seems like the perfect location for their new store. Only problem is that Maggie finds out that Sean is her main competition for the land to build the store on. Now Sean is a nerd with strange hair but Maggie seems to think he just might be a perfect match for her too.

Vicki Lewis Thompson writes a delightful tale that plays on her pet theme with a paranormal twist in Over Hexed. Thompson takes a super-sexy guy and makes him a nerd through magic and pairs him with a cute but slightly nerdy woman. The most fun readers will have is with the two slightly strange and overenthusiastic witch Dorcas and Ambrose. Also adding spice to the story are the nutty residents of Big Knob. Mixing together this great cast readers will have a fun time as they visit this unique little town and follow the hilarious plight of Maggie and Sean as they struggle to get together while being pitted as rivals for the same property. With Over Hexed Thompson adds a little spice to her world of nerds but comes a little short in brining us over to the paranormal. Readers will laugh out load as Sean's vision keeps coming an going. Thompson adds a variety of slapstick comedy moments that are laugh-out-loud funny. As a light hearted read readers will find the comedy first rate and the characters first rate. Over Hexed is a delightful read will make readers wish they could find a way to visit Big Knob, Indiana.
