Reviewer Comments: The Breed series continues with Tanner’s Scheme . Scheme is the daughter of General Cyrus Tallant and she has been plotting against her father and the Genetics Counsel. She has found damning evidence against him and requests sanctuary from Jonas, head of the Bureau of Breed Affairs. Before she can be picked up her father sends an assassin after her and Tanner Reynolds decides the perfect time has arisen for him to claim revenge against Scheme.

Tanner was raised by the General for the first fifteen years of his life before gaining freedom in a breakout. He has watched and waited patiently for more than ten years for a chance at revenge. He doesn’t know that Scheme has been working for the Breeds nor does he know that she has suffered greatly in her quest to right the many wrongs done to the feline population.

Scheme is being hunted by two groups; one wants her dead, the other wants her alive. Tanner doesn’t know what he wants from her. He knows he wants to have sex with her but there is something else she inspires in him that he just can’t quite figure out.

Lora Leigh is known for her steamy novels. This book is no exception as it is filled with voyeurism and hot sex. The sex is over the top in quantity and position, something this reader has come to expect from Ms. Leigh. While obviously part of a series, Tanner’s Scheme is able to stand alone and contains far more than sexual scenes.

Scheme is a heroine that suffers extreme abuse from her father and that relishes getting even. She is a practical woman with a big sexual appetite that makes her an appealing character. Unlike others in the Breed series, little new is learned about the Breed species placing the spotlight upon Tanner and Scheme. There is little more I’d expect from a book entitled Tanner’s Scheme .
