About Katie
Katie MacAlister is an American author of romance, mystery, and non-fiction books. With a passion for mystery, a fascination with alpha males, and a deep love of history, Katie figured she was a natural to write fiction. An eclectic reading taste covering everything from her beloved blue tweed Nancy Drews to two-hundred year old etiquette books have given her a taste for the absurd, eccentric, and downright wacky. Katie has worked as a bird skeleton cleaner, a wave machine solderer, a Fortran programmer, and a sales assistant for Harrods. A Favorite Memory:
Something warm and fuzzy? That would probably be the day I realized my boyfriend (now husband) loved me. I truly felt like I was walking on air. I've had a lot of pleasant memories since then, but nothing has matched that day for sheer joy.
Best piece of advice to aspiring Authors
Don't listen to advice on writing--everyone writes differently, each writer follows a different path to publication. I honestly believe that if you believe in yourself, the rest will fall into place.
